Selecting the Correct Plasma TV Stands
The general popularity of each of the differing plasma televisions on the market has generated an enormous need for cheap plasma stands as well. With styles designed to hang from the wall, sit neatly into the corner and as well hold a large amount of other electronics there is sure to be a great plasma TV stand for your needs out there.
The greatest move to take to acquiring precisely what you need is looking into how you could actually utilize the plasma TV stands. This would help you to decide what is most important. What Are My Low Back Pain Treatment Alternatives?
It is pretty safe to assume that we all know what the most common question asked by back pain sufferers typically is, “What are my treatment options?”
There are a number of traditional treatment methods a back pain patient may undergo when they first experience back pain or discomfort. An example would be bed rest. Bed rest may be prescribed for back pain sufferers whose conditions are not considered serious. The downfall of this treatment method is that patients may be more likely to develop depression and experience other negative effects.
Physical therapy is another common treatment option recommended for back pain sufferers. Certain exercises can improve the general function and strength of the spine, but may not address the primary cause of a patient’s back pain.
Pain medication or pain killers will normally function by temporarily decreasing inflammation, muscle spasm and pain. This option will only alleviate symptoms, but rarely does it deal with the primary cause of pain.
A treatment option introduced over 2,500 years ago is called acupuncture. It is a form of treatment where by needles are inserted into various parts of the body, such as in ankles, knees, or fingers for the treatment of back pain.
Back surgery attempts to correct the primary cause of the problem. Some patients report significant relief of pain after surgery, but the risks involved make this option a last resort for many.
Manual traction may be used by a therapist, by utilizing the patient’s weight to change both the force and direction of pull. Auto traction is when the patient controls the traction forces by grabbing and pulling on the end of the traction table.
Non-surgical spinal decompression therapy is another treatment alternative available to back pain sufferers. The DRX9000 True Non-surgical Spinal Decompression SystemTM is designed to provide pain relief for compressive and degenerative injuries of the spine. Through the application of spinal decompressive forces to these injuries, patients have found relief from their back pain problems.
As new emerging technologies arise, more and more back pain sufferers are finding the relief they so desperately search for.
Consult with your physician prior to undergoing any form of treatment.

Anyone Can Sell
“I can’t sell”, I hear you say. Rubbish, everybody can sell. If you ever got a job, sold your car or sold yourself to another person (ie. got married or formed a relationship), you have demonstrated an ability to sell. We sell ideas to others all the time, we just don’t view it as selling.
The role of a sales professional is to find out what the prospect wants rather than whether the customer wants something at all. Once this is done, a sales professional should then help the customer fill that need to the customers’ satisfaction. The principle skills a successful sales person needs are:
* Putting your customers in a acceptance state of mind, making them feel at ease and unpressured.
* Showing interest in their requests or needs.
* Using opinions as selling points (both yours and theirs).
* Supplying facts and helpful information.
* Meeting objections in a positive way and never becoming defensive or aggressive.
* Seeing things from the customer’s point of view.
* Suggesting additional products or services.(Value adding)
* Building repeat business.
It’s important that you learn to apply these techniques, although if you apply tact, friendliness, honesty and you know what you’re talking about, you’re 90% there. Not difficult when you consider it.
I know of quite a few small business people that would never consider themselves sales people but have remarkable success at selling their wares by just being themselves. Is this being a good sales person? Probably.
An old friend of mine, Ross owns a applicance business in one of Brisbane’s trendier suburbs. He spent many years of his life working for a hospital. It never ceases to amaze me, and his business partner, how this “untrained” person can sell products by just being himself. He is a natural salesman.
On the days he looks after the shop instead of his partner, the sales are always up compared to when he’s not there. If you were to ask him if he thought he was a good salesman he would probably say no, but the sales figures speak for themselves.
He does it by being a friendly, genuine guy that loves a joke and a talk with his customers. Most of his customers would never go elsewhere because they like him. I’m sure even if he put his prices up, he would still attract the same clients because they have a rapport with him. They feel good about shopping at his store; he makes sure they do. Everybody can sell, simply use your own personality and be friendly and courteous. Treat customers the way you would like to be treated.
Top sales people make a point of remembering regular customers’ names, ensuring each time they come to the store they receive a small discount or offering other little extras like helping them to the car with their parcels. As I mentioned before with my friend, he fosters friendships with his regular customers. This fosters loyalty to the business by the customer, quite often regardless of price, because they get preferential treatment. You’ve probably had the feeling yourself when you constantly use a particular business and each time you walk in the people don’t just ask for the order.
Generally, sales people feel awkward about asking the customer for the order. These sales people will never be really successful in sales. A lot of sales are lost simply because the sales person doesn’t put the onus back on the customer to make a decision, they simply leave the whole matter up in the air which allows the potential customer to quietly move out the door without having to commit themselves to a decision. How many times do you do this? I do it all the time and think to myself, “I’m glad nobody put me under pressure, I probably would have spent money”.

Donating Car Parts and Broken Autos To Charities
After the updating of the laws concerning vehicle donations to charity, cars that are not running have been donated at a lower rate than was the case only some years ago, but even so, it doesn’t mean you have to keep that old car. It’s still possible to donate it to charity, albeit the tax deduction reward has been considerably reduced.
Normally, when you donate a vehicle that no longer runs, it will get towed away and sold, in essence, as a parts car. Though the majority of auto donations for autos in such a state are handled by a third-party (usually a for-profit company) agent as opposed to the charity itself, you are still able to get the old jalopy hauled away.
Nevertheless, you should know that that the deduction value which you can claim for a car sold on the wholesale market is considerably limited by the fractional amount it is likely to be sold for in addition to the overhead fees that are taken off the top by a third-party agent, the remaining value that is in fact given to the charity from the sale of the donated automobile is the extent of what may be written off under the new laws.
Ordinarily, the highest values for donated vehicles are obtained for cars and trucks that are still roadworthy, although some agencies will take some broken down cars and trucks for repair. If you can find an organization that has an ongoing mission of automotive training, even a non-working car has the possibility to be deducted at the higher “fair market value” in such cases.
Consequently, no matter how much it’s not running, such donated vehicles are still accepted by a numerous charities which accept automobile donations. Frequently, they will be bigger or national charities that don’t have a particular mission based on getting running cars to people. Unless there’s something especially cool or unique about your donated vehicle that would make it an ideal project car, you can presume that it will be sold for scrap or parts at a wholesale auction.
In spite of alterations to the law, there are still a lot of places that accept donated cars that are no longer running. The thing you have to consider is whether or not it has possibility of being fixed up for sale as a running vehicle.

Postcard from Manila
Manila, capital of the Philippines, represents a challenge, both blessed and cursed, slums stand alongside beautiful churches and several universities contrast with the many nightclubs and exciting, 24 hour street life.
Manila is the political and economic centre of the Philippines, and it serves as a drawcard for residents from all over the Philippines. For most visitors from North America or Australia, this metropolis does not seem to merit more than a few days’ visit, after which the serenity of the provinces may seem all that much more attractive. Although a trip to Manila can be draining, it nevertheless gives the visitor important insights into the culture, history and politics of this island republic, insights that stem from its very wealth of contradictions.
In the sights of foreign conquerors
Natives who settled at the mouth of the Pasig River in Manila have seen a great many rulers come and leave. The first to come were the Malaysians, who arrived in the Philippines during the pre-Christian era. Hindu and Buddhist leaders from Indonesia followed. Islam reached Manila at the end of the 15th century. The Muslim sultanate established in the mid-sixteenth century had been in existence for barely a decade when Spanish Catholic sailors appeared on the horizon.
Colonial Manila
Miguel de Legaspi conquered Manila in 1571, declaring it to be the capital of the Spanish colony of the Philippines. Despite the ravages of World War Two, when Manila was heavily bombed, traces of the city’s colonial past are still in evidence, particularly in the Intramuros district. Intramuros, literally “within the walls”, meaning within the wall enclosure of the city/fortress. The city centre, with its partially restored wall , is the site of a number of sixteenth-century buildings including Fort Santiago, Manila Cathedral and the church of San Augustin, the oldest in the city.
At the centre of power
The heart of Manila is now elsewhere, in Makati, the modern commercial and banking quarter. Elegant high rises, gorgeous residential estates, super-modern shopping centres and numerous international hotels can be seen. The modern development of this quarter began in the mid-twentieth century. Like much of the growth in Manila, Makati is closely connected to the politically powerful Zobel de Ayala family. The family name is found throughout the city, on streets, buildings and public monuments.
They come here not only to pray
Pasay City is located in the south-west of Manila across the superhighway from high-class Makati. On Wednesdays, Pasay is overrun with people. In Baclaran, the faithful crowd into Redemption Church, where weekly services are held in honour of the Virgin Mary. But one suspects that even more Manilans make their way to Pasay in order to patronize the neighbourhood’s famous lech6n stands, known to be the best source of that quintessential Philippine specialty, roast suckling pig.
A bit of folk culture
Throughout Manila, a light rail station is never far away. If your stomach is complaining after a feast of suckling pig, a gentle ride on this elevated railway is highly recommended. The trip back to town can also be made by Jeepney, of course, though it will be slower and more crowded.
Jeepneys were originally former US Army surplus jeeps that had been converted into passenger vehicles with as many as fourteen canopied seats. These days, however, most Jeepneys come new from the factory. Skillful painting and decoration are a prerequisite for genuine Jeepney status. Most have Catholic religious figures as their central theme, but they may include funny comic strip images.
Many Jeepneys are so thoroughly covered in advertising that they resemble moving billboards, while others looks like temples on wheels. What’s important for visitors to remember, however, is that Jeepneys follow specific routes, just like buses. It is always best to inquire about the route before getting on board.

The Grapefruit Diet
Hollywood loved the grapefruit diet. Stars and starlets used it as far back as the 1930s. Then in the 70′s it became a piece of fax junk, sent from machine to machine, commonly known as xerox lore. The diet has been described as bad by the Mayo Clinic, often associated with the diet.
The grapefruit diet is a lot like Atkins, but with a grapefruit eaten with each meal. There was no cheating on this diet – only three meals a day and no in between meals snacks. Supposedly a person on this diet could lose 10 pounds in only 10 days. The distribution was just as far fetched – no weight loss for four days then five pounds lost all on the fifth day. The claim that grapefruit contains enzymes that burn fat has never been proven.
Researchers showed that the diet may work in a 2004 study. Participants in the study lost 3.6 pounds on average in a 12 week span, eating one half grapefruit before each meal. People drinking the same serving size of grapefruit juice lost slightly less weight. Some people lost as much as 10 pounds in the 12 week study. Researchers attributed the weight loss to decreased insulin levels caused by eating grapefruit. However, all the participants slightly enhanced their exercise programs, which may account for the lost weight.
Here are the rules for the grapefruit diet:
- Drink eight servings of water a day.
- Stop eating when full.
- Eat all the food listed at each meal, skipping food interferes with fat burning.
- Grapefruit is the key – so eat that as specified.
- Drink only up to 1 cup of coffee at meals.
- Don’t eat except at meal time.
- Butter can be used.
- No starches or sweets can be eaten.
- Meat and vegetables are fine.
- Eating more will actually result in more weight loss.
- Follow the diet for 12 days, skip two days, then start again.
- Grapefruit comes before every meal – ฝ fruit or 18 ounces of the juice. Now you can go try the grapefruit diet.

Designing Customer Satisfaction Surveys that Work
Why bother?
Good customer service is the life blood of any business. Although you should try and attract new customers good customer service will help generate customer loyalty and encourage repeat business. With every satisfied customer your business is likely to go on and secure many more customers through recommendations and if you do not take proper care of your customers there is probably a competitor waiting in the wings that will.
A customer satisfaction survey will help by not only identifying problem areas but show that you care and are proactive in looking for ways to improve the service that you provide.
Where do you start?
Objective – As a first step decide what the main objectives of the survey are, in that way you will be able to retain focus and find it easier to decide what questions to ask.
Analysis – In addition to the objectives consider how you will analyse the answers having completed the survey.
Keep in mind that ‘closed’ questions (where the respondent is asked to choose from a limited number of responses) are easier to analyse than ‘open’ questions (where the respondent can reply in anyway they want).
A lot will depend on the predicted volume of respondents, the higher the volume the more important it is to have an easy method of analysing the results.
Opportunity – Keep in mind that as well as obtaining valuable market research data customer surveys are also a good way to publicise aspects of your service that your customers may not be aware of.
After you have drafted your survey read through the survey from a market research view point and check that you are asking the right questions in the right way and that with the feedback information you will be able to properly analyze the data allowing you to make informed decisions.
Then, read through the survey from a marketing view point, check that you have phrased each question so that every opportunity has been taken to promote your business?
The ideal question will perform the following three functions:-
- Market research – provide valuable feedback to help you improve your customer satisfaction levels and in turn your business
- Marketing – promote aspects of your business
- Information/Education – advertise a service that you provide that your customers may not have been unaware of
For example:- Do you find the in-store baby changing facilities useful?
By asking this question not only will the store receive good market research feedback on the facility they provide but they will also promote their facilities and advertise themselves as a family friendly store, even beyond those customers who have a specific need for the baby changing facility that has been provided.
Warts and all – to benefit most from a customer survey you need to avoid the temptation, in any way, of attempting to sugar coat the survey.
A customer satisfaction survey should be designed to identify any problem areas so that they can be fixed; conducting regular customer satisfaction will help prevent complacency and will also give early warning on where you may be losing business to your competitors initiatives.
What to ask?
Although each business is likely to have specific and unique factors that are important in providing good customer services there are common areas that are relevant to all businesses be they a physical store, online internet store or a service industry. The following are some key areas to providing good customer service.
Communication – Do you make it easy for the customer to contact you?
When a customer telephones is their call answered promptly; are enquiries about products or services handled properly? A good business will make every effort to ensure that whatever the customers query it is resolved by the right person, quickly, politely and fairly.
If customers reported problems that cannot be resolvable immediately do you promise to respond in a given time period and do you deliver on your promise?
Use a customer satisfaction survey to check that your customers find your staff to be helpful, courteous and knowledgeable.
Location – Do your customers find it easy to visit you, if a physical bricks and mortar store, is it conveniently located with good access?
Making it pleasant, making it easy – For an online business it is important to ensure that your website is easy to use and aesthetically pleasing.
Regardless of the store being a bricks and mortar or purely an online internet store, is the store properly laid out, can your customers find what they need and is there sufficient information and help on hand to explain how a particular product works?
The right quality products – In addition to measuring the quality of the service that you provide you should ensure that the products and services that you provide do fully match your customers’ requirements.
Value for money – Cheap or expensive is rarely a good measure, value for money is.
Do your customers consider your business synonymous with value for money, if not, why not?
Speed and attention – Regardless of the type of business most customers will want to be dealt with quickly but attentively.
Are you doing everything you can to avoid delays?
Good businesses will try to treat each customer as an individual, does yours? Attention is one thing but only if it leads to a quick and satisfactory resolution to the query.
Demographics and Specific issues – Take the opportunity to profile your customers, for example their gender, age group and where they live?
By understanding your customers more, the better your chances of correctly targeting your business.
Encourage customers to highlight their specific problems and provide contact details.
What next?
Once the survey has been completed analyse the results.
Trends – Look for common and specific areas where the service needs improving.
Ask yourself if any criticism is valid, be honest to yourself, is there anything that can be done to properly resolve, or at the very least, minimise the problem?
Training – Are all employees properly trained and do they have sufficient knowledge?
If customer service training programs have been implemented have they improved the customer experience?
Follow-up – If a customer who has completed a survey has raised a specific issue do all you can to ensure that their complaint is addressed.
Don’t squander the opportunity to resolve a problem and keep a customer.
Continuously Monitor – Make changes based on the survey results and then re-measure by issuing follow up surveys.
If you are concerned about customer satisfaction and would like to view a sample survey for a store that will demonstrate some of the above advice please view the Sample Customer Survey

Debt Settlement Plan
Bad debt settlement, also known as debt arbitration or debt negotiation, is an approach to debt reduction in which the creditor and debtor agree on a lower balance that is regarded as settlement in full of an outstanding debt.
Most importantly, debt settlement is a debt relief option which can prevent vulnerable borrowers from declaring bankruptcy.
If done properly, settled debt can provide you with final closure to your debt problems while avoiding lawsuits, liability or wide garnishments, and, most importantly, eliminating the need to consider filing for bankruptcy.
What is more, for consumers who have heavy unsecured debts, who are maybe deperate for assistance with credit card debt, struggling to meet their monthly repayments, who are looking for a viable alternative to bankruptcy, debt settlement plan companies offer a totally legal solution.
Debt settlement plans also makes sense from the creditor’s perspective. If a consumer is under financial hardship and files for bankruptcy, the creditor will receive nothing. If the debt is settled, a solution acceptable to both parties is arrived at by a process of negotiation. It is a true win-win situation for both parties. Quite often, particularly in the case of credit card companies, the creditor will not actually lose money due to settlement, they will just make less profit. This is obviously preferable to receiving nothing if the debtor files for bankruptcy.
It may not be possible to emerge from the process with your credit rating entirely unscathed, but debt settlement will be a great deal kinder to your credit rating than bankruptcy or any ongoing debt problems would be.
There are specialist debt settlement assistance companies who make it their business to provide debt relief, help and advice to people just like you.
These creditor debt settlement companies employ dedicated professionals who will work on your behalf, taking full advantage of the leverage they have in this situation to achieve substantial reductions in debtors’ unsecured loans.

Portable Air Conditioning
Before You Hire or Buy Portable Air Conditioning, it will help if you understand how to find the perfect match for your needs.
There are 4 principle types of Portable Air Conditioners available, each environment requiring Portable Air Conditioning is different and therefore careful consideration needs to be made prior to choosing the best Air Conditioning Solution.
The basic choice can be made from one of the following:
- Evaporative coolers (swamp coolers)
- Portable Exhaust tube Air Conditioning
- Portable Split type Air Conditioning units (refrigerant)
- Portable Split type Air Conditioning units (water cooled)
What should I consider before choosing a portable air conditioner?
The most important factor to consider the amount of cooling duty that is required for the area to be properly cooled. The amount of cooling duty required (measured in BTU or kW) will be impacted by several issues. i.e. size of area, number of people populating the area, numbers of items that generate heat e.g. PC, photocopiers, fax machines etc. Also the number of windows and the direction of the sun, i.e. buildings with south facing windows will require more cooling duty. Calculating the correct level of Air Conditioning duty required is important the correct decision can save hire costs and deliver the perfect cooling solution.
Different factors can reduce the effectiveness of portable air conditioners. Here are a few solutions that might increase or decrease BTU’s if you suspect the effectiveness of your portable air conditioner is going to be altered by an outside factor:
Portable Air Conditioners
The type of Portable Air Conditioner you choose may depend greatly on where you intend to exhaust it. Exhaust tube Air Conditioners remove the heat produced by the refrigeration circuit via exhaust tubes. Ideally the exhaust tube is Directed out of an adjacent window, however in some circumstances the heat can be removed via a suitable ceiling void or into other unused space. Each model and size of Exhaust Tube Air Conditioner is capable of different performance.
Evaporative coolers
Evaporative coolers (also called swamp, desert, or air coolers) are devices that cool air through the simple evaporation of water. They differ from refrigeration or absorption air conditioning, which use the vapor-compression or absorption refrigeration cycles. In the United States, small-scale evaporative coolers are called swamp coolers by some users due to the humid air conditions produced. The name sump cooler is also used. Air washers and wet cooling towers utilize the same principles as evaporative coolers, but are optimized for purposes other than air cooling.
Evaporative cooling is especially well suited for climates where the air is hot and humidity is low. For example, in the United States, the western/mountain states are good locations, with swamp coolers very prevalent in cities like Denver, Salt Lake City, Albuquerque, El Paso and Phoenix, where sufficient water is available. Evaporative air conditioning is also popular and well suited to the southern (temperate) part of Australia. In dry climates, the installation and operating cost of an evaporative cooler can be much lower than refrigerate air conditioning, often by 80% or so. But evaporative cooling and vapor-compression air conditioning are sometimes used in combination to yield optimal performance. Some evaporative coolers may also serve as humidifiers in the heating season.

Modern Technology Changes How We Rent and Watch Movies
I recall 5 or even 2 years ago it was pretty difficult to watch motion pictures on the internet. This was the time when sites like Napster were getting sued for allowing people to share their hard drives with the world on a peer to peer network. Thus, allowing people in other countries and states to play and swap music that was not already on on their own drives. Understandably, the record corporations did not find this practice to be beneficial or above the law so they stopped the service. Well, this same concept of checking people from sharing their movies online was also finished.
The problem was that film and music companies were not getting their share of the money. They were unable to come to the table and get their piece of the pie. Finally It seems that some very innovative companies have figured out a way to make the record and film companies happy and also line their pockets with money. Companies like Netflix, iTunes and Amazon.com are now leading the way in download movies legally. Both services charge a fee for individuals to download either a movie, music or a TV episode. A portion of that money goes to the company that owns the film or show. But a portion of the money goes to the distributing company.
These services have been a glorious achievement for those people who want to see a movie the day it comes out for rental or for retail sale, but don’t want to go to the local Walmart to buy the DVD. They have made it simple to just buy the movie online, save it on your local computer and watch it whenever you desire. This makes it easy to watch the movie online on a computer, on a ipod or import it to a device like a xbox 360 and watch it on a TV.
But let’s say that you don’t want to buy the movie. Say you want to keep things legal and clean but you just want to watch it once, you want to watch free videos online. Well it isn’t quite free, but it is remarkably inexpensive.
Perhaps you think the movie in question is not worthy of a full purchase price. Well, Netflix, iTunes and Amazon still have you covered. You can rent the movie and then you will have a month to watch the movie once within a 24 hour period once you start watching the movie. This is more than enough time to watch the movie a number of times.
Or you can subscribe for very small monthly fee and watch all the movies your heart desires.
With the way technology is going these days it is just easier than ever to watch movies online without all the hassle.
